Port Isaac Cottages

Out of all the Port Isaac Cottages available for rent Llanbrydn in Trelights, has to be one of the best places you can stay.

Llanbrydn is a spacious holiday house recently renovated to a high standard.

Situated in the beautiful Cornish countryside, between the popular beaches of Polzeath, Daymer Bay and Rock, and the fishing village of Port Isaac.

The house is located close to local pubs and amenities.

Llanbrydn is an ideal base for those wishing to enjoy Cornwall's beautiful beaches and legendary watersports (surfing, windsurfing, sailing) or exploring local landmarks and areas of beauty.

The cottage is surrounded by many attractive villages close to Bodmin Moor. The nearby small town of Padstow is a charming Cornish fishing port which has a bustling waterfront and renowned restaurants.

Port Issac is an unspoilt fishing village which was the location for the famous Poldark TV series.

Speaking of POLDARK, there are two other film sites to see, these in the Penwith/Land's End area of Cornwall:

Porthcurno Beach, near Minack Theatre, with its course, cream-coloured sands, where the Ross-Demelza reunion scene was filmed; and Botallack Manor House, used as the Poldark residence, Nampara, in one of the Poldark series.

The latter, last I heard, is now a private home, so if you go, please respect the boundaries and privacy of those living there.

And Bodmin Moor, which indexicon refers to, is the setting for Conan Doyle's THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES. Cornwall also has several Daphne du Maurier settings, and many King Arthur/Arthurian connections, such as Tintagel Castle and Dozmary Pool.

Cornwall and the Cornish coast have inspired some of my travel stories.
